How to Submit a Technical Service Request (support ticket)

  1. Log in to the My Cal Poly portal with your Cal Poly username and password.
  2. Under My Apps, click on Technical Service Request. Then, click on New Service Request.
  3. In the General Issue field, select Network Services. In the Specific Issue field, select Wifi connectivity.
  4. In the Summary field, briefly describe the issue. Provide further information the Description field. (See below.)
  5. Click the Save button to submit your request.


When requesting Wi-Fi support, please provide the following information:

  • Device type - iPhone, laptop, etc.
  • Operating system - iOS, Windows 10, etc.
  • MAC address - MM:MM:MM:SS:SS:SS - Learn how to find your device's MAC address.
  • Date, time and location of issue - Thursday, January 11 at 4 p.m. in Bldg 14, Room 115
